Officials Information
TAKE YOUR MARKS…Let’s Go Officials!!!!
There is no better time than now to show your support of our team and our athletes than to become a certified USA Swimming official.
USA Swimming has established a consistent set of standards and training to be used for all our officials. This process will help to ensure a consistent, fair and safe environment for our athletes to compete in. This process is intended to:
- Ensure a clear and consistent knowledge of the rules.
- Provide sufficient time in training to assure familiarity with all levels of competition.
- Provide opportunity to work on the deck and advance through the certification process.
- Allow automatic acceptance of officials’ certifications between all LSCs
- Ensure professionalism and teamwork while in attendance at a swim event both on and off deck.
To become an official there is a simple process to follow. This is a link to the USA Swimming website which has all the links for what is required to become an official at one location how to become an official
