Parent Volunteer Information
The Manta Rays Service Program will be based on a 35-hour minimum requirement for each family on the team. 15 hours must be devoted to Mason Manta Rays hosted swim meets. Volunteer opportunities are available at all home meets, selected away meets, Ohio Swimming Championship meets, team events and donations of supplies.
Any family who fails to satisfy their annual service hours by the end of the swim year will be invoiced $16.50/un-worked hour. Click HERE for more information on volunteering.
Volunteer Back Ground Checks:
- Each family member, 18 and over, who will be volunteering for your household will need to have a free background check through the City of Mason Police Department.
- This can be done at the Mason Municipal Building police station Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4pm.
- After hours time slots will be available at the beginning of each swim year and will be communicated through email.
Volunteer sign up process:
- Log into your team unify account.
- The Job Sign Up button can be found next to the meet name on the home page of the website or through the sports engine app.
- Click on the job/time slot you wish to work.
- Please note, detailed information for the job or donation will be written in the notes for the job. You can only view that through the Team Unify site from computer. It will not appear on the sports engine app. This is particulary important to check when signing up for donation items so you know the quantitiy of what to bring.
Volunteer Home Meet Check-in Process:
- Check in will be located at the MMAC Community Room
- Jobs will be set up by last name, alphabetically.
- Once you locate your name, highlight and inital next to the job you will be doing during the current session.
- If you are working multiple sessions during the day or the weekend you will return to the volunteer table to check in for the next session at the next designated check in time.
- Accounts will only be credited if you have highlighted and initialed that you are there.
- If there are open slots still available the day of the meet you write your name on the provided sign in sheet. You will need to include your child's name and the job you are fulfilling.
Volunteer T-Shirts for home swim meets:
- All volunteers will be supplied with a City of Mason Volunteer T-shirt to wear during the volunteer session.
- This shirt is yours to keep and should be worn for each session you are on deck volunteering
- T-shirts can be picked up at the volunteer check in desk the day of the meet
How to check your service complete service hours:
- Log into your Team Unify Account through a computer, not through the Sports Engine App.
- From the left navigation menu, click on
- Events & Competition > Event & Job Reports
- Click on Job Signup for My Account
- Enter your date range in the "jobs signed up in this period" boxes (August 15 - today's date)
- Click Search
- The events that you've signed up for will apprear. You will be able to view the following:
- The event title, Date/Time of the job, How many credits you'll receive, the job name/notes.
