The City of Mason Manta Rays departed on a team travel trip to Louisville, KY for the 95th Annual Ohio Valley Championships last Thursday. Sixty-six swimmers competed for three days against some of the best swimmers in country including Olympians and national level swimmers. Only a handful of the best swim teams (college and club) are invited to this prestigious meet. Besides the great competition, perfect weather and unique venue, team trips are also a great team bonding experience--with athletes rooming together and traveling on a charter bus. Head Coaches Selected For 2023 World Junior Championships Teams COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Head coaches of the U.S. swimming teams for the 2023 World Aquatics Junior Championships (formerly FINA) have been selected, it was announced by USA Swimming on Thursday. Ginny Nussbaum will lead the women’s team and Ken Heis will lead the men’s team. Ethan Tu, 15, City of Mason Manta Ray has been chosen as one of 48 boys and girls from across the country to participate in USA Swimming’s National Diversity Select Camp in May at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. USA Swimming invites up to 56 athletes from diverse populations to participate in a three-day camp program which includes pool training, motivational and education sessions, and team-building activities.
