Congratulations to Manta Rays Sarah Austin, Danielle Barbiea, and Kellie Barbiea for being selected to USA Swimming's Scholastic All-American Team. Each year, USA Swimming recognizes its members who excel both in the classroom and in the pool. The Scholastic All-America Team is made up of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and who have achieved the required time standard in a single event. WATCHING A MANTA RAY PRACTICE In our swim program, we want the child’s attention focused on the coach and the tasks at hand. Occasionally children miss an instruction, or have a goggle problem, or are involved in some other distraction, or are simply playing and having fun – which is all normal behavior for young children. We view these little difficulties as part of the learning process and we allow the children an opportunity to develop the self-discipline and self-reliance needed to overcome these difficulties without the help of moms...
SPIRIT WEAR ORDERS The spirit wear orders can now only be turned in directly to Koman's Apparel on Tylersville Road. They must be turned in by this Wednesday. No exceptions and this is the only spirit wear order of the season. Thank you! This Saturday, October 2, the Mason Community Center will be closing at 12:00 p.m for the rest of the weekend. However, all Saturday Manta Ray practices will go on as scheduled.
