OHIO SWIMMING REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS REPORT Our swimmers lit up the water at Regionals! We had an amazing amount of lifetime best swims & “JO” qualifiers! WE HAD 25 SWIMMERS ACHIEVE OVER 56 INDIVIDUAL NEW OHIO STATE “JO” TIMES! Despite the faster JO time standards, we now have more swimmers with qualifying times than last year! The Mason Manta Rays have earned Silver Medal status in the 2011 USA Swimming Club Excellence program. The 2011 program results are based on performances in the 2010 calendar year. Clubs have been selected as Gold, Silver or Bronze Medal clubs according to the following parameters: Gold Level: The top 16 point-scoring clubs eligible for the Gold level. Silver Level: The remaining clubs ranked through #100 and/or not achieving Gold status. Bronze Level: Clubs ranked #101 through #200 and/or not achieving Gold or Silver status. Congratulations to all of the Manta Rays who swam this past weekend in the high school Sectional Meet. Thirty six Manta Rays (representing eight different high schools) advanced to the high school Southwest Ohio District Championships to be held this Friday (boys) and Saturday (girls) at Miami University . This is the second step on the way to the Ohio High School State Championships. Swim Fit Swimmer Ria Parikh, her mom, Swati, and her brother were involved in a serious car accident. GOOD NEWS: Ria is doing better, slowly, and is expected to eventually make a full recovery over the months ahead. The family thanks everyone for the good wishes.
