IRISH OPEN UPDATE Mason Manta Ray Hannah Whiteley, 17, won GOLD tonight at the Irish Open Championships in Dublin, Ireland with a best time of 1:02.89 in the 100m Backstroke. Her Rays teammate, Ashley Volpenhein, placed 5th in the 50m Butterfly tonight as well. Both girls are loving the experience so far and still have two more days of competition. Over 400 swimmers, parents, family members and staff attended the event. The evening began with opening comments from Ken Heis, followed by a slide show of photos and music from the season. Mason Manta Rays at High School State Championships February 28, 2015 The Mason Manta Rays were well represented at the Ohio High School State Championships in Canton at the end of February. Ashley Volpenhein and Sydney Lofquist captured 2 state championships. Hannah Whiteley and Tim Hagemeister each brought home one state title. Coach Todd and his wife Katie are celebrating the birth of their second child! Jossalyn Louise Billhimer was born this morning at 8:14 am weighing 6 lbs 9 oz and she is 20 inches long! Mom, Dad, Josie, and baby are doing great!

More than 230 Manta Ray swimmers kicked off the 2014-2015 swimming season with the 12th Annual Manta Rays Intrasquad Swim Meet.
