Mark Daasch from NovaCare will be on the pool deck Tuesday, 1/14, from 3:45-6 p.m. If your swimmer has any aches or pains that you want him to evaluate, please see him on deck ttoday. As long as we don't have any other suprises, all Manta Ray practices are set to return to the normal practice schedule on Wednesday and Thursday. There is a home high school meet on Friday. The schedule for the weekend: Friday National: 3:00-5:30 Platinum: 2:30-4:30 Bronze: 4:00-5:15 Blue, Teal, & Green: Practice moved to Sunday White & Pups: Normal Practice Times Saturday Normal practice times Sunday Blue: 12:00-1:30 pm Teal: 1:15-2:30 pm Green: 2:15-3:30 pm

Practices are cancelled for Tuesday, January 7 due to a burst pipe at the community center.

Due to a high school home meet on Friday night, we have to move the practices to Sunday for the GREEN, TEAL, and BLUE practice groups. The Sunday, 1/12, schedule will be: Blue: 12:00-1:30 pm Teal: 1:15-2:30 pm Green: 2:15-3:30 pm There will be no practice for these groups on Friday night. If you have any questions or concerns, please let your swimmer's lead coach know.

In an effort to get as many of you back home as early as possible tonight, we will be using the following practice schedule for today, Monday, January 6. National 2:00-4:30 pm (see Coach Ken about dryland) Platinum 3:45-6:30 pm (dryland first 3:45-4:30) Gold 6:15-8:15 pm (stretch 6:15-6:30 pm) Silver 5:30-7:15 pm (stretch 5:30-5:45 pm) Bronze 4:15-5:45 pm (stretch 4:15-4:30 pm) Please make sure your swimmer(s) bundle up.

The meet information and sign-up for the INDY meet in February is now available. The meet name is slightly different than originally posted and emailed out but it is at the same location and on the same weekend. This meet is great for all of our Manta Rays to participate in. The Mason Manta Rays finished in third place overall at the 2013 Holiday Classic at Miami University. The team acquired 613 personal best swims at the meet, over 50 new Junior Olympic qualifying times, and 12 new Sectional qualifying times. Senior Alisabeth Marsteller broke two meet records and also earned high point winner for the 15 & over girls. We had 43 Manta Ray swimmers participate in the Dayton Raider hosted Jarnagin Memorial meet in mid November. Between event improvement and our swimmers competing in the event for the first time, we had 117 lifetime best swims. Taylor Bacher had four first place finishes – 200FR, 25FL, 25BR, 50FR – and she is only six! USA Swimming’s 2013 Speedo Winter Junior National Championships starts up on Thursday, December 12 in Greensboro, NC. The Mason Manta Rays will be represented by National group swimmers Zoe Thatcher (17), Sydney Lofquist (16), Hannah Whiteley (16), and Ashley Volpenhein (15).
